Joseph & Hall P.C. opened windows for me in the United States. I hired Joseph & Hall P.C. to represent me on an O-1 visa for extraordinary ability in the arts. The rest of my family had fled Iraq and had been granted refugee status in the United States and I ended up in the Netherlands. Since 1991, all windows were closed and it became harder to visit my parents in the United States. I wanted the ability to show my artwork in the United States, and to also be with my parents. They opened the window that allowed me to come to the United States on an 0-1 visa, and end my soul suffering.

To everyone who will use the services of Joseph & Hall P.C., I want to share my experience with all of you out there, and tell you that dreams come true! My history begins as a single Mexican undocumented mother who did not speak a word in English, who was coming from a relationship where I was abused on a daily basis….Then, Joseph & Hall changed my life! They applied for and won Cancellation of Removal for me in front of an immigration judge. Now, I am a single documented mother, who is a professional and abuse free!

I now work as the Associate Director for Latino Outreach for Tu Familia Program of the American Diabetes Association. My success in developing and managing programs promotes self-sufficiency, social justice, and immigrants’ rights. My outreach to minority communities that enhances the capacity of community-based organizations to provide health services to underserved Latino communities is unparalleled in the State of Colorado. I am considered one of the exceptional Latinas who has learned that helping and giving back to the community is my calling in life. I am not just a servant leader; I am also a mentor to emerging Latina leaders in the State of Colorado. I have been at the forefront of health disparities and immigration leadership issues impacting Latinas. I raise the questions and provide the answers on behalf of Latinas across Colorado. I am the voice of each and every Latina who wants to be counted. I also work to ensure that Latinas are neither ignored nor taken for granted. I help the ones that need help and more importantly provide hope to young Latinas, especially new immigrants.

Joseph & Hall P.C. worked tirelessly for three years to obtain T visas (for victims of human trafficking) for the Sargsyan Family.

All 6 members of the Sargsyan family have legal status in the US. Susan and Ruben and their children, Meri, Gevorg and Hayk all have received T Visas.

Their daughter, Nvart, who was previously married to the abuser and human trafficker, won her status in Immigration Court in November, 2004. That court victory was appealed by ICE (Immigration Customs Enforcement) and the appeal was subsequently thrown out by the Board of Immigration Appeals in 2006.

The Sargsyans were supported financially and emotionally by an entire community of people in Ouray County, Colorado.

When the 4 members of the family were detained by ICE in November, 2004, the community high school organized a bus trip from Ridgway to Aurora to protest their detention. High School students joined with CU students and faculty in a protest march covered by The Denver Post and all of the Denver TV stations.

The NY Times came to Ridgway and did a story on the family. On the evening before the NY times reporter was to go to the detention facility to interview the family ICE released the 4 members of the family.

In September 2006, Ruben and Meri Sargsyan received T visas. T Visas are reserved for victims of human trafficking. Subsequent to that, the rest of the family was granted T visas status and is now safe and in legal status.

I was born in Mexico City in 1978. For as long as I can remember I have always dreamed of working with the proper documents in the United States of America, because the US economy is a magnet for all kinds of people around the world. Today, thanks to Joseph & Hall P.C. (By far the best Immigration Law Firm in the Country) this is a dream that came true.
