The Department of State published a final rule on March 28, 2023 which would raise the price of all nonimmigrant visas applications for visa types that don’t require a previously approved USCIS petition, including B1/B2 tourist visas and F-1 student visas and Border Crossing Cards for Mexican citizens from $160 to $185. The rates for other petition-based non-immigrant visas, including H-1B, H-2A, H-2B, L-1A, L-1B, O-1, R-1 and other visa types, would increase from $205 to $315. E non-immigrant visas would increase from $205 to $315.
These rates were expected to increase on May 27, 2023. However DOS announced it would be delaying the price hikes to June 17, 2023.
