Jeff Joseph is representing Eliseo Jurado, an immigration activist who was targeted by ICE because his common law wife, Ingrid Encalada, entered Sanctuary after exhausting all attempts to fight her deportation. Mr. Jurado was arrested on his way to Home Depot by several ICE agents. He was not committing any infractions at the time of the arrest and has not had any problems with the law since 2009. The immigration judge released Mr. Jurado on a low cash bond of $2,500.00 and we are awaiting a setting of his case for Cancellation of Removal.
