Aaron Hall Presents to Denver Green School Northfield

This month I had the opportunity to present to 6^th grade Social Studies classes at Denver Green School Northfield.  As part of a series devoted to social justice issues in the community, I was invited to talk about what an immigration lawyer does, the many obstacles immigrants might face in obtaining lawful status, and the recent influx to Denver of new arrivals from Venezuela. The presentation was followed by a full group discussion with students asking questions and sharing their thoughts. The students offered insightful comments and questions with some even re-imagining what an immigration system could look like to eliminate backlogs while still taking national economic conditions and public safety into account. As usual, the chance to engage with students and listen to their perspectives and their optimism proved to be uplifting. Thank you to Denver Green School Northfield for the wonderful engagement!
