My experience is rather unique. My son was arrested by ICE in the residence in Fort Collins, where he shared with two friends. I live in Sri Lanka with my wife. 12.5-hour difference. My son asked his friend to inform me in my middle of the night. It was a nightmare from then on. On the recommendation of friends and relatives, we called on three lawyers to represent our son. We consulted three expert lawyers in ICE handling of overstayers. The first two lawyers were a bit of a disaster, and when we consulted Jennifer Howard and ten minutes into the consultation, we were confident that it was her we wanted to save our son. Rest is history with very little sleep attending to addressing queries, handling difficult surprises from the background checks, etc. Jennifer, well assisted by Marcello, was open, transparent, and efficient ++. The time difference was killing us. It was a difficult period, facing Thanksgiving and limited time to prepare for the first and only hearing. Jennifer saw to it ends there. Brilliant work, which helped to push through a voluntary deportation against all odds. Obviously, after the verdict by the judge, Thanksgiving was a bummer and was compounded by ICE’s inhuman handling. Thank god our son was sent home in a flight to his mother’s home country in a most extraordinary manner. Of course, Jennifer and Marcello did not have any control over ICE’s handling. Glad it is all over. My son needs to heal from trauma and being confined for nearly two weeks. Jennifer, supported by Marcello, are excellent attorney and paralegal partnership. I wish them well and all the very best. One minor administrative glitch in the payment system needs to be addressed. I have provided separate feedback to the administration staff. Also, the receptionist’s telephone answering needs to be reviewed. Passing urgent messages to the attorney is neither timely nor easy. Wish your firm all the very best.
When my wife and I first looked at her moving to the United States, it was a very daunting task, as our knowledge of the immigration system was rather limited.
