Family connections form much of the basis of our immigration system. In fact, the National Immigration Forum reports that 65% of new immigrants to the United States already have family members in the country. Through an immediate family member, a foreign national may be eligible to obtain a green card. In other words, immigrants may be able to get permanent residency in the United States. At Joseph & Hall P.C., our top-rated Boulder immigration lawyers assist clients with all types of family visas, including:
We also help people navigate the family preference lottery. Immediate family members can often access a visa without going on a waiting list. Though, that is not always the case for other relatives. While the number of available visas is capped, non-immediate family members of a U.S. citizen or permanent resident—including siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.—may be able to obtain a green card. If you have questions about family preference visas, our Boulder immigration attorneys are here to offer reliable guidance and support.
One of the many advantages of getting a family visa is that it typically puts a person on the path toward American citizenship. If you hold a green card in good standing for at least five years, you can apply to become a U.S. citizen. Of course, even for qualified applicants, actually getting naturalized is not always easy. There are a number of different obstacles and challenges that might arise during the citizenship application process. Applicants who run into problems should seek immediate guidance from an experienced attorney. Our Boulder citizenship lawyers will protect your rights and help you navigate the application process.
At Joseph & Hall P.C., our Colorado family immigration attorneys dedicate our legal practice to providing exceptional representation to our clients. If you have questions about your family immigration options, we are here as a resource. For a fully confidential initial consultation, please contact us right away. We represent clients in Boulder and throughout the surrounding communities, including in Longmont, Lafayette, and Louisville.

Effective March 25, 2020, in response to “Stay at Home” orders Joseph & Hall PC is closed to the public and is now conducting nearly all of its operations remotely during the COVID-19 health crisis through April 18th.
We continue to have a limited number of staff in our office to perform basic operations such as assembling and filing petitions, receiving and distributing mail and issuing checks. We are grateful to be in a business that is conducive to remote work and for all of your patience and support. Our lawyers and paralegals are here to answer the array of questions that continue to arise daily and will keep you informed during these rapidly changing times. We will hold telephonic or video meetings rather than in-person meetings. These meetings can be done by SKYPE or Zoom Conference call so that you can continue to interact with your legal team, face-to-face.
We remain committed to delivering outstanding client services. We do have one important request – please do not come into the office in person for your health and safety and that of our employees. Please mail or email all documents to our office. Also, you can make any required payments online at https://vpspay.com/p/3 or make them over the phone by calling 303-297-9171 or by mail.
