Bloomberg Again Argues for Immigration Reform

On December 10, 2010, Mayor Michael Bloomberg presented on the country’s need for comprehensive immigration reform at the at the annual meeting of the Partnership for New York City.  Bloomberg’s presentation emphasized the economic benefits that would come from immigrant entrepreneurs and the country’s history of immigrant-driven economic strength.

According to an article at www.nytimes.com, Bloomberg has created a national task force of mayors and chief executives “to call for a path to legalization for the millions of illegal immigrants who are already in the United States and for a loosening of green card and visa restrictions to allow for more educated and highly skilled immigrants to move here.”
