From June 15th to 18th, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) held its annual conference in New York City. The annual conference is an opportunity for immigration practitioners from across the country to get together for expert discussions, critical updates, and innovative guidance. As the first in-person annual conference since the outbreak of COVID-19 and coinciding with a celebration of AILA’s 75th Anniversary, this conference in New York was especially anticipated.
Joseph & Hall was proud to be well-represented at the conference. Partner Aaron Hall presented on a panel on Hot Topics and New Arguments in Removal Defense and moderated the ICE Open Forum. Partner Kirby Joseph presented on a panel on Practice Management and Building an Effective Team. Senior Attorney Jennifer Howard presented on Well-Being Practices for the Immigration Law Office. Paralegal Joseph Gomberg worked the conference as a day coordinator and attended sessions on employment-based immigration throughout the week.
Joseph & Hall prides itself on being a national leader in legal advocacy and in client service. The firm values that its team members are consistently invited to give CLEs to share our expertise and strategies with others. And members of our team eagerly attend panels put on by other practitioners from around the country to ensure we are always up on the latest strategies, arguments, and best practices.
A successful AILA annual conference in New York is now in the books and as always, Joseph & Hall looks forward to future conferences, including next year’s annual conference in Orlando.
